The Rehability UK Awards 2025 – Shining Together brought teams from across the country together for a truly special evening at the West Bromwich Albion Football Ground.
It was a night filled with smiles, inspiration, and stories that reminded us what makes Rehability UK so unique — our people. 💚

From support workers and leaders to behind-the-scenes heroes and the incredible people we support, each award celebrated compassion, creativity, and dedication in action. Together, they show how we continue to shine as one team, changing lives and communities for the better.

🏆 Support Worker of the Year – Central

Antony “Slim” Watkins - Slim joined care after COVID and has never looked back. Known for his humour, kindness, and the positive relationships he builds, Slim makes a difference every single day.

🏆 Support Worker of the Year – North

Prince Obioha Ugboaja
Prince’s journey began with a caring heart, shaped by his personal experiences. He has grown into an outstanding keyworker who uplifts the lives of those he supports with creativity, patience, and trust.

🏆 Support Worker of the Year – South

Karthikeyan Manivannan
Kar’s calm and cheerful nature brightens every day. His commitment and resilience bring joy to colleagues and residents alike, turning challenges into moments of celebration.

🏆 Support Worker of the Year – West Midlands

Mairo Lazeng Owen
Mairo is the heartbeat of Wychall Road. Her warmth, energy, and dedication ensure that everyone around her feels supported, valued, and cared for.

🌟 Newcomer of the Year

Charlotte Jinks
Since joining from NHS Leicestershire, Charlotte has quickly made a huge impact. Her professionalism and compassion have inspired colleagues and set new standards in our services.

🌟 Leader of the Year

Katie Brown
A passionate and hands-on Registered Area Manager, Katie leads with creativity and heart — developing teams, championing growth, and ensuring the best outcomes for the people we support.

🌟 Team of the Year

Wyre Hurst Team
A true family in spirit, the Wyre Hurst team have supported people to rebuild independence, reconnect with families, and achieve personal goals through trust, empathy, and teamwork.

🌟 Outstanding Contribution to Care

Kyle Dyer
From leading an incredible Pen-y-Fan climb in Wales to empowering people through outdoor challenges, Kyle shows that care extends beyond services — it’s about creating experiences that build confidence and joy.

💚 Head of Operations Special Awards

Mental Health Services – Ward Street Step-Down Team
Providing life-changing support for people transitioning from hospital to community life, this team’s compassion and patience create safe spaces where recovery flourishes.

 

North – Birmingham Management Team
A powerhouse of collaboration, the Birmingham team lead with inclusion and creativity, transforming lives for people with autism and learning disabilities.

 

South – Oliver McGowan Trainers – Rachel Dann, Robert Cole & Harry Teasdale
Through honesty and lived experience, these inspiring trainers are breaking barriers and fostering understanding, bringing the Oliver McGowan Training to life across our organisation.

Volunteer of the Year – Rebecca “Becky” Morgan
Since moving into Abbeymead Lodge, Becky has grown in confidence and now volunteers three days a week at a charity shop — a wonderful example of giving back.

Creative Achiever of the Year – George Choak
George’s art fills the community with colour and joy. His creativity at Garage Art in Evesham inspires everyone who sees his work.

 

Outstanding Achievement of the Year – Joanna Rawlings & Gillian Foster
