John Gaffney House is set to provide a bespoke care model for those diagnosed with Autusm, Learning Disabilities, secondary mental health diagnoses and challenging behaviours. The provision delivers person-centred support, ensuring that we encourage independence and offer choice in a safe and nurturing environment delivering only the best
service for the people we support.​
The Location
John Gaffney House is located in the suburbs of Bradford City. The property has good transport links, with bus stops located just outside the service, which link to Bradford, Shipley and Bingley. Various local amenities are within walking distance, such as: local multi-cultural shops, GP practices, pharmacies, and supermarkets. Also, within a short drive into Bradford Town Centre are Cinemas, Museums, a Shopping Centre, Football Stadium and much more. Lister Park has its boating lake and Cartwright Hall Art Gallery and Mughal Water Garden, There are also tennis and basketball courts and bowling greens.

Service Goals
John Gaffney House has been newly renovated to provide 24/7 supported living accommodation that is reflects needs. Our team of support workers are trained and mentored to meet the need of people we support. The service also benefits from onsite management and additional oversight from our Positive Behavioural Support Lead.
Positive Behaviour Support will be core to the delivery with a strengths-based approach
to address underlying needs that improve the quality of life. Our digital platform function
helps the team to ensure consistent care for the people we support.
The aim is to promote independence as well as to develop and maintain daily living and
life skills. To ensure John Gaffney House feels like home, we work closely to ensure
positive tenancy management and actively pursue community engagement and activities
for the people supported.
Facility Features
Nine self-contained, good-sized apartments are spread over two floors, each with an open-plan kitchen/dining room, bedroom and a bathroom. The service benefits from a good-sized communal area and plenty of outdoor space. Enabling the people we support to build social connections and participate in shared activities.

The apartments are finished to high standards. Flats offer a choice of wet rooms or bathrooms with a bath. Kitchens are fitted with integrated appliances. Bedrooms are fully furnished including a wardrobe, chest of drawers, bed, and mattress. The service benefits from gated access, secure
intercom entrance and CCTV in public areas. There is parking on-site, which is suitable for mobility access.
